Hi! I'm Kelly; a.k.a. Mama Durso.
I started this blog as a way to keep far-flung family members up to date on the goings on with Baby Durso and I've gotten rather into it. Blogging has actually become a hobby of mine. I also really enjoy learning things, like how to decorate cakes or use Photoshop Elements 8. I also like to do projects... though I admit I have issues finishing them (just check out the struggling tomatoes in my backyard). I'm a former high school biology (& sex ed) teacher turned stay-at-home-mom, but that doesn't mean I've given up my nerdy ways. I still have plenty of corny jokes in my arsenal, just no unwitting audience on which to use them... that's where my family comes in.John is my husband, handyman, personal political informant and my rock. He puts up with my need to vent unnecessarily, laughs at my ridiculous biology jokes even if he's heard them and tells me I'm beautiful even when I'm not expecting it. Yeah, he's the best.
Johnny is my first child and a boy (obviously... a girl named Johnny I have yet to meet) and is probably the cutest child I've ever laid eyes on. For serious. But I'm his mom so I'm expected to say that. This blog started out as a chronicle of his life, but now he must share that chronicle with his brother. Ah, siblings.
Hank is my second child and also a boy (can you tell we're into masculine names and not so much androgynous ones?). He is also the cutest kid I've ever laid eyes on... am I allowed to say that about two kids? Whatever, it's my blog and I don't care. He's a super sweet baby, which I'm hoping will translate into a sweet toddler and a sweet child... we shall see.
